Apple has finally determined that iPad 3 suppliers will start production

According to foreign media reports, Apple is said to have finalized the list of suppliers for the iPad 3 tablet PC, retaining many key partners in the iPad 2 supply chain and will begin production of its next-generation tablet iPad 3 in October.

According to the Taiwan media’s CENS report, OEMs in the apple supply chain are already preparing to supply components. Apple will retain LG Display as its main display panel supplier, abandon Samsung and increase Sharp as a supplier. At the same time, Hon Hai (FSK, etc.) will continue to be responsible for assembling the iPad 3.

Apple's other suppliers, including Taiwan's already certified Apple backlight module maker Ruiyi Optoelectronics, touch panel maker TPK Holdings and Wintek Corp., will all join the Apple iPad 3 supply chain.

Richtek Technology Corp, Taiwan's integrated circuit design company, is said to have received orders for some of its power management ICs for the iPad 3 display panel. At the same time, Integrated Memory Logic has also signed exclusive contracts to supply integrated P-Gamma/DVR/VCOM chips.

According to informed sources, the number of components provided is 1 million units. This shows that Apple did not increase supplier's output too much to avoid affecting iPad's delivery.
