Littelfuse, a global company in the field of circuit protection, has introduced the Q6008LH1LED/Q6012LH1LED series of triacs and the Q6008LTH1LED/Q6012LTH1LED series of QUADRAC thyristor power control devices.
It is understood that these devices are designed for use as switches in dimmer circuits and are responsible for adjusting the brightness output of LED bulbs or tubes. This series of products can help LED lamp AC line dimmer designers meet various operating parameters without sacrificing reliability or reducing dimmer performance. Thus, a single control device can be used for LED dimmers or for combined dimmers designed for incandescent, compact fluorescent (CFL) and LED loads.
Corey Deyalsingh, product director for Littelfuse's thyristor power control device product line, said, "The low load current characteristics of these new thyristors enable a single dimmer for all dimmable lighting loads (LEDs, CFLs and traditional incandescent lamps). Design is possible. The high current rise rate of these thyristors (di/dt) ensures greater reliability and design flexibility during turn-on and high-rated junction temperatures. The new Q6008LTH1LED and Q6012LTH1LED series QUADRAC devices are combined in a single package. Both ends of the AC switching element and the three-terminal thyristor further simplify the circuit design and assembly process."
Features:
• Maximum holding current can be as low as 6mA
• UL Listed TO-220AB package • 110°C rated junction temperature • 35V/μs static dv/dt performance • 70A/μs di/dt performance • Integrated two-terminal AC switching elements in QUADRAC version • Gate triac With 10mA gate sensitivity
Features :
• Full control of brightness output under very low load conditions • 2500VAC minimum isolation between mounting bracket and moving terminal • Increased safe operating factor while reducing heat dissipation • Better protection against electrical noise • Guaranteed typical LED load operation Feature safety • Simplified circuit design and layout • 600V blocking capability
