In order to cope with the strong demand from lighting manufacturers in Japan and abroad, Citizen Electronics, a LED business subsidiary of Citizen Holdings (hereinafter referred to as Citizen HD), a global LED LED manufacturer, will increase the production of white LED substrates for lighting.
It is reported that the LED substrate that is planned to increase production is a high-end product that can accommodate several LED chips to improve luminous efficiency. Citizen Electronics plans to produce three productions in Japan and abroad in 2013 (April 2013-March 2014). The production capacity of the base increased by 20%.
According to the Japanese survey report, the global white LED substrate market size in 2012 (referred to as the manufacturer's shipment amount; the same below) is estimated to increase by 7.9% year-on-year to 577.349 billion yen, and the global white LED substrate market is expected to increase to 6575.79 in 2015. The billion yen will grow by about 14% compared to 2012; the annual average growth rate (CAGR) of white LED substrates in 2010-2015 will be 4.4%.
