Xiao Hong believes that although the LED glare time is very short, only 1 to 2 seconds, but it is easy to cause the driver to see the traffic situation in front of the LED advertising screen, causing security risks.

Xiao Hong suggested that relevant departments should make adjustments to these LED advertising screens and appropriately reduce their brightness at night to avoid adverse effects on traffic safety. At the same time, some sections of Shenyang city set up cameras for filming whether the driver is wearing a seatbelt and making phone calls. “Different from cameras that capture parking spaces, at night, high-intensity light beside the camera is facing the driver’s eyes. After the irradiation, it is very easy to induce traffic safety accidents.” Xiao Hong suggested that relevant departments make appropriate adjustments.

The green light flashes several times before the yellow light

The new rules have been implemented since January 1, and the yellow light is equivalent to the red light. Xiao Hong pointed out that some of the intersection lights in Shenyang were set up so that the green light did not flicker and turned into a yellow light directly. “This is the intersection of the South Five-Way Road Railway Experimental Middle School.”

At the same time, he pointed out that there were no countdowns for some of the intersection lights. When the intersections were being breed during the peak period, there would be a situation where the green light countdown did not end and it became a yellow light. “For example, the construction of the Daxing Xingshun Street intersection at the early morning rush hour. It may cause the driver to brake the yellow light to be photographed too late for the brakes, or be afraid to be photographed and brake, and bury the hidden danger of rear-end collision.”

Xiao Hong suggested that the Traffic Police Department be able to set up a reasonable change of the signal light. Before the yellow light comes on, the green light will flash 3 to 5 times, or there will be a countdown display to remind and give the car driver sufficient response time.
