1. Classification of wires

2) The principle of selection of wire cross-sectional area

(1) Select according to allowable voltage loss. The voltage loss must be within the allowable range and cannot be greater than 5% to ensure the quality of power supply.

(2) Select by heat conditions. The coefficient of heat generation should be within the allowable range. It should not cause insulation damage due to overheating and affect the service life.

(3) Select by mechanical strength. To ensure that there is a certain degree of mechanical strength, to ensure that the line will not break under normal use.

3. The cross-sectional area of ​​the wire is selected

The selection of the cross-sectional area of ​​the wire is related to the switch of the branch where it is located. The current setting value of the switch is smaller than the current capacity of the wire. Only when the load is overloaded, the wire will be overheated or even damaged by insulation, but the switch will not trip. Cause a safety accident.

When the current setting of the switch is 16A, copper wires of not less than 2.5 IIlI112 should be used. It is absolutely not allowed to reduce the cross-sectional area of ​​the wire or to change the copper wire to the aluminum wire with the same cross-sectional area. Absolutely, the current setting value of the switch must not be increased in order not to trip.
