The industry expects that the new energy efficiency standards for air conditioners will be introduced in the middle of the year. The standards put forward higher requirements for inverter air conditioner energy efficiency grades. Under the new national standard, the costs of major air conditioner R&D and technology investment will increase significantly among major manufacturers. The upgrading of consumption will inevitably lead to an increase in the average price of the product. In addition, the increase in manpower cost, air-conditioning materials, copper price, and other cost expenses in 2013 also brought upward pressure on the average price of air-conditioners.

However, for the sale of air conditioners in 2013, the White Paper gave an optimistic judgment.

According to statistics, 10 million sets of affordable housing were completed and delivered in 2012. In 2013, it is estimated that 6 million sets of affordable housing will be built. "White Paper" said that after a long period of regulation, it is expected that in 2013 the property market transactions in some areas will show signs of recovery, housing renovation will bring a large number of rigid demand for home improvement, will drive the air-conditioning market capacity growth of about 3%.

Active three or four markets will also continue to drive the growth of the air-conditioning market. At present, air-conditioner retention rates in the tertiary and tertiary markets are still low, and major brand manufacturers and retail channel providers will all target the tertiary and tertiary markets. It is expected that this part will contribute about 2% of the air-conditioning market capacity.
