Recently, Toshiba released three Z-series business notebooks, the Portege Z30, the Tecra Z40 and the Tecra Z50. All models are designed to work throughout the day to meet the needs of users. According to the model name, the screen sizes of the three models are 13.3, 14.1, and 15.6 inches, respectively. The Z30 is now shipping, starting from US$1,249. The Z40 and Z50 start at US$1,199. The former will ship on October 18, while the latter will be at the end of November. The W50 will also arrive on October 18, starting at 1999. Dollars.
All three Z-Series models are equipped with a fourth-generation Intel Core processor up to Core i7. In addition to the Intel HD 4400 Core Graphics, the notebook also supports up to 2 x 8GB of DDRL memory. The system can be pre-installed with Windows 8.1 Professional or Windows 7 based on customer requirements.
On the interface side, it includes three USB 3.0, one HDMI, VGA, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac/a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, WiDi, and an optional mobile data card. There is also an SD card slot, STS Studio Sound stereo speakers, and a full HD webcam.
The 13.3-inch Z30 is available with up to 512GB solid-state drives and battery life up to 12 hours. The 14.1-inch Z40 offers up to 500GB of HDD, or a hybrid drive, or 512GB SSD, with battery life of up to 9 hours. As for the 15.6-inch Z50, the storage options are the same as those of the Z40, but Toshiba has not given a specific battery life.
