[High-tech LED News] American Applied Materials has been awarded the "Excellent Supplier Award 2010" by Texas Instruments for its long-term commitment to help Texas Instruments (TI) achieve business growth. Applied Materials is said to have won this award for the sixth time. And it is the second time in the past three years.
Texas Instruments opened the world's first 300mm analog fab, established its first factory in China, and then added a new fab in Japan. The company has more than 12,000 global suppliers. There are only 16 homes.
According to Applied Materials, as a Texas Instruments supplier, the company is also expanding its range of services to support Texas Instruments' global expansion plans. These services include helping Texas Instruments achieve the largest and most comprehensive factory relocation project in the industry, as well as upgrading services, equipment and automation capabilities to Texas Instruments last year.
