Matsushita Electric starting from December 24, 2010 will begin to market about 80 models of LED fluorescent lamp as the light source of the lighting fixture "LED fluorescent lighting fixture basis." This product follows the LED fluorescent lamp standard "LED fluorescent lamp system with L-shaped lamp socket (for general lighting)" formulated by the Japan Light Bulb Industry Association (JELMA) on October 8, 2010 (see Japanese LED fluorescent lamp specifications and parameter analysis). It will be sold to offices, shops, factories, schools, hospitals, etc., and there are also lamps that can be used to renovate and replace components of fluorescent lamps.
The L-shaped lamp socket (two on the power supply end and one on the ground terminal) based on the JELMA standard is not compatible with the fluorescent lamp socket "G13", which can avoid accidental insertion of the current fluorescent lamp fixture. Moreover, the L-shaped lamp socket can be rotated and fixed after being inserted into the lamp tube, so that it can also be prevented from falling due to vibration or the like. The energized lamp foot adopts a one-side power supply mode in which two lamp pins are mounted on only one side (power supply side), which can prevent electric shock from being accidentally contacted with other lamp pins during the insertion operation.

The full-beam, light distribution characteristics, color temperature and color rendering properties of LED lamps exceed JELMA standards, such as full beam, JELMA standard is "more than 2300lm", and the product can reach 2400lm. This brightness is comparable to a 40W fluorescent lamp (FLR). The color rendering can reach Ra84, which exceeds the standard "Ra80 or above".
When the new LED light is first used, the brightness will be higher than the design illuminance, and the product has an initial illuminance correction function that automatically reduces excess power, corrects the illuminance to the appropriate brightness, and maintains a certain brightness (design illuminance). In addition to the effect of this function, compared with the FLR40W type luminaire, the product is expected to reduce power consumption by about 40% when the brightness is basically the same. The life of the light source is about 3.3 times that of a fluorescent lamp, which can reach 40,000 hours.

The structure of the LED lamp is such that an aluminum alloy fin and a reflector are fixed inside the glass tube, and a plurality of ceramic substrates (LED modules) are arranged side by side here. A plurality of LED chips are mounted on the ceramic substrate at equal intervals in a straight line, and then the chips are covered with a fish cake-shaped phosphor layer. The modules are connected in series, and the LED chips in the module are connected in parallel.

Matsushita Electric expects sales of basic lighting equipment for business in fiscal year 2011 to reach approximately 5 million units, with the goal of bringing the sales of LED lamps to 500,000 units, accounting for 10% of the total. Among the 500,000 lamps, the basic lighting fixtures equipped with LED fluorescent lamps are 300,000 units, accounting for about 60%.
As mentioned above, the LED fluorescent lamp is not compatible with the original fluorescent lamp, which means that the user needs to replace the lighting device when using it. Even so, Matsushita Electric is still planning to introduce lighting fixtures equipped with LED fluorescent lamps of the same length as fluorescent lamps. The company’s significance in placing such products is that “the optical properties of LED fluorescent lamps have been clarified to some extent. The parameters are positioned in the mass-produced Volkswagen Consumer Zone. For integrated lighting fixtures that have already been supplied, we will design and add optical characteristics according to the user's requirements, and then propose a product plan based on this. "(Yoshimura of the Matsushita Electric Lighting Business Division).
If the user has been using fluorescent lighting fixtures before, it is estimated that a large reason for using LED lighting fixtures is that they can be used in the same arrangement and configuration. In this case, not only the basic lighting fixtures equipped with LED fluorescent lamps will produce mass production. According to the company's introduction, although the light source, the socket, and the power supply circuit are all separate components, the structural components of the main body and the like are also common to the fluorescent lighting fixture and the LED lighting fixture.
Panasonic Electric Works is scheduled to be launched in mid-January 2011 to "replace components" and "Quick Up" specifically for retrofitting lamps. The replacement component is a kit of components consisting of ballasts, sockets, and wires that continue to use the body portion of the fluorescent lighting fixture (including the reflector). The Quick Up is a product that mounts the components in the replacement assembly to the reflector and can be easily installed in the main part of the embedded fluorescent lighting fixture. The prices of both products are open and are expected to be comparable to the price of basic lighting fixtures equipped with LED fluorescent lamps. According to the company, the advantages of shorter construction time and reduced material waste are greater than the cost advantages.
For the price of the basic lighting fixtures equipped with LED fluorescent lamps, the number of lamps for single lamps is 2,995 to 63,000 yen (including tax), and the number of devices for dual lamps is 40,987 to 130,000 to 1325 yen (including tax). The company will launch five 40W standard products on December 24, 2010. It is scheduled to be launched in mid-January 2011 with 32W embedded models, and other products will be launched after April 2011 (20W standard, 40W direct mount, 20W embedded).
