LEDs Magazine reports that luminescent materials are a very important element in many applications such as semiconductor lighting and medical imaging or diagnostic systems. To test the quantum efficiency of these key materials, Labsphere worked with Photal to develop the QE-1000. Using patented HalfMoon hemisphere integration technology, the QE-1000 can measure liquid or solid samples with high accuracy and repeatability. The system allows excitation to be in the range of 250-700 nm and the detection range is between 240-800 nm.
According to Photal, the key to the QE-1000 is the HalfMoon sample chamber, which has a good absorption of the sample holder and allows accurate measurement of solid and liquid samples placed indoors. Labsphere is responsible for the production of hemispherical structures, and the Spectralon® technology used achieves the highest diffuse reflection for high precision. Labsphere said that Photal will serve as an agent and technology partner for QE-1000 products in the European and American markets, which will bring convenience to customers' sample experience.
