It is only suitable for the determination of oil-containing samples with a mass concentration of 10 mg/L or more in the liquid. The oil sample with low concentration has large measurement error and poor reproducibility. Since the oil content in the SF 6 gas is very low, the low sensitivity of the gravimetric method determines that it is not suitable for determining the oil content in the gas. Ultraviolet spectrophotometry and fluorimetry can only measure oils in the form of aromatic hydrocarbons, and oils in the form of methyl or methylene cannot be determined. The non-dispersive infrared method can only measure oils in the form of methyl and methylene groups, and oils in the form of aromatic hydrocarbons cannot be determined. In addition, the ultraviolet spectrophotometry does not have a specific standard oil, the selection of the standard oil is difficult, and the data comparability is poor. In the infrared spectroscopy, infrared spectroscopy in the wave number region of 2930cm -1, 2960cm -1, 3030cm -1, respectively, at the methylene oil, methyl group, the aromatic ring C-H bond has a characteristic absorption, for any For oils, this absorption band is almost the same, is not interfered by other substances, and the amount of absorption is proportional to the oil concentration in the sample. Due to the low content of mineral oil in SF 6 , infrared spectroscopy can accurately determine the mineral oil content in SF 6 gas.
