LGD also announced in July this year that it will build a new display organic light emitting diode OLED panel joint venture plant in Guangzhou, and plans to invest about 180 billion yen, which will be LG's first large-scale OLED factory in China. It can be seen that the Korean factory is speeding up the elimination of small and medium-sized LCD panels, and the trend toward OLED breakthrough is obvious. However, this has also led to tight supply of small and medium size LCD panels in LCDs, especially mobile phone panels will be even more in short supply.
At present, there are four, five and six generations of small and medium-sized panel plants, only AUO, Innolux, Caijing and Huaying. Although the battle for LCD and OLED business is getting tougher, it is still difficult to distinguish in the short term.
