RGBW LED is kind of four color LED with 8 pins and it is a perfect substitute for 5050RGB LED.

Normally, when we connect the current for the three chips in the 5050 RGB it will emitting as white LED. But it might not pure white enough. Because it will more like pale pink or pale cyan instead of pure white and it don't have the perfect consistency as the RGBW LED, which means it can't meet some user's standard.

Advantage of RGBW LED: It used the warm white or pure white replace the mixed white, which make the light of LED glossier and more consistent than the 5050 RGB LED.
Because of those advantage, RGBW LED widely used in LED brightening Project, LED decorative light, LED panle light and so on.
